Perpetual trophies are awarded to deserving Golden Retrievers each year at the Annual Meeting.
A perpetual trophy remains the permanent property of the Yankee Golden Retriever Club (YGRC). Each trophy is inscribed yearly at the club's expense and may be retained by the winner for approximately one year upon submission of a $50.00 deposit. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the trophy in good condition by the deadline before the next annual meeting.
To be eligible for a Perpetual Trophy:
You must be a current YGRC member in good standing
You must have been a club member for the entire trophy eligibility period (November 1 – October 31)
You must have done some volunteer service work for the club during the trophy year.

Applicants and Subscribers are not eligible for perpetual trophies. Co-owners must have been members of YGRC or the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA) for a minimum of one year. Golden Retrievers may be professionally handled in Breed and Field events but must be amateur-handled in Obedience and Agility events. All wins must be earned in the United States.
The eligibility period for perpetual trophies is November 1, 2024 through October 31, 2025.
The deadline for submitting the on-line application is December 15, 2025. Late applications CANNOT be accepted.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING:
Log into your YGRC online account.
Create ONE on-line application per dog. Start a new application for each subsequent dog. If ordering Plaques or Title Bars you must complete one transaction before starting another.
For perpetual trophies you will need to upload the following files:
Trophy/certificate
Documentation required
Bench / BOS trophy
Dog’s AKC online Win record (fee $13.00)
Dog’s AKC online Dogs Defeated record (fee $13.00)
Select Wins --Individual AKC show results (no charge)
New title certificates for Obedience, Rally, Agility, Tracking, Scent Work etc.
Verify your dog’s new titles with one of the following:
GRCA yearbook online database (no charge)
Dog’s AKC online Win record (fee $13.00)
AKC title certificate
It is the responsibility of the member applying for the trophy to provide the necessary information to the
YGRC Trophy Chair. Incomplete applications cannot be processed. You will receive email notification if
any documentation is missing, and we ask that you respond within 7 days so as not to delay the tabulation process.
Plaques, Title Bars and Certificates:
These can be ordered through the Trophy Application link below. They are for completed titles only and are awarded each year at the Annual Meeting.
To be eligible one must be a YGRC member or subscriber. Titles may have been earned in either the United States or Canada. All retriever breeds owned by YGRC members are eligible for these recognition awards.
Reminder: To apply for a Perpetual Trophy or order Plaques and Title Bars, you must be logged into your YGRC on-line account.
