Transition Level Seminar

YGRC is excited to offer this transition level workshop for the handler and retriever team that want to develop the skill sets needed to progress and succeed at the upper levels of hunt tests. This seminar will focus on both set-ups and drills that will help with multiple marking scenarios as well as basic blind running concepts and techniques.

Requirement: Your dog must have a reliable whistle sit, retrieve birds to hand and have had a rudimentary back pile.

When: Jul 12 – Jul 14, 2024

Where: Buck Shope Property 205 Pail Factory Road, Templeton Ma

Time: Seminar will begin at 9:00 am sharp

What to bring: Chair, paper, pen, sunscreen, bug spray, lunch, water for you and dog

Cost: Handler with dog: $425 Auditor: $75 per day or $200 for all 3 days

Limit: Only 12 Handler/Dog teams. Don't delay, these spots will fill quickly!

*About Carol Cassity

Carol is the author of Building A Retriever, Drills & More. Her book is a compilation of drills and best practices for the hunting retriever, with particular attention being paid to selecting drills that are within the means of most amateur trainers. Carol has experience with a variety of hunting dog breeds and is familiar with the unique traits of each breed. She successfully competes at the highest levels in both HRC and AKC events and is an HRC judge at the Finished level, having judged the HRC Grand multiple times. Titles her dogs have achieved include HRC GRHRCH, UH and AKC MH. Many of her dogs, both Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and Golden Retrievers are AKC Master Hunters and members of the HRC 500-Point Club.
